Leasing & Operator Rights

Asset co-owners can monetize their hardware and land plots by leasing out Operator Rights to other citizens or commercial entities.

1. Asset Ownership vs. Operator Role

In Juvantia, equity ownership (holding APU shares) is strictly separated from operational control (the Operator role):

  • APU Shares: Represent capital ownership, voting power, and rights to revenue distributions. Shares cannot be rented out or locked by a tenant.
  • Operator Role (operator_id): Grants operational access to control a robot in the Operator Deck, manage a facility, or configure commercial services.

2. Leasing Workflow

  1. Governance Approval: Co-owners holding a majority of $\ge 50.001%$ of share tokens vote to list the asset for lease and elect a Device Manager.
  2. Listing in Leasing Hub: The Device Manager creates an offer specifying the rental mode (fixed-time slot or monthly recurring lease) and the price in EURC.
  3. Tenant Procurement: A renter selects the slot and signs the payment via Circle Passkey.
  4. Instant Operator Activation: The JuvantiaLeasingHub contract deducts the Technopark tax to the central Treasury (JuvantiaAerarium) and routes the net revenue to the asset's operatingBalance.
  5. Automated Access Control: The Core Engine instantly grants the renter Operator status in Link. When the rental period expires, access is revoked automatically without manual intervention.
