Cella & Sub-Assets

A Cella (plural: Cellae) represents an autonomous individual unit, apartment, or segregated functional module located within a multi-unit Domus.

The sub-asset architecture enables composite real-world structures to be tokenized with precise granular property rights, separating building-wide operational infrastructure from individual residential or private commercial spaces.

1. Architectural Hierarchy

In Juvantia, composite physical structures enforce a strict parent-child relationship on-chain:

  • Parent Asset (Domus): The overarching physical structure and shared building shell (e.g. ROBOHOUSE).
  • Sub-Asset (Cella): An independently demised and accessible unit inside the parent structure (e.g. Unit 1, Unit 2).

Token Symbol & Identifier Hierarchy

Token symbols cryptographically encode this relationship to ensure absolute transparency across all user interfaces, explorers, and marketplaces:

LevelAsset TypeSymbol FormatExample
ParentDomusDM-XXXXDM-3553
Sub-AssetCella Unit 1DM-XXXX-C1DM-3553-C1
Sub-AssetCella Unit 2DM-XXXX-C2DM-3553-C2
Sub-AssetCella Unit ${N}$DM-XXXX-C{N}DM-3553-C{N}

2. Economic & Tokenization Model

Both the parent Domus and every constituent Cella adhere to the canonical Asset Passport Unit (APU) standard:

Parent Domus (100,000 APU)

  • Scope: Covers building-level ownership, foundational structural elements, exterior envelope, and shared infrastructure.
  • Revenue Streams:
    • Commercial facade advertising and branding rights.
    • Rooftop telecommunication, solar array, or antenna installations.
    • Common entrance halls, shared corridors, and communal amenities.
  • Governance: Domus co-owners govern whole-building capital expenditures and structural maintenance.

Cella Sub-Asset (100,000 APU per Unit)

  • Scope: Each Cella is issued an independent, fixed supply of 100,000 APU (18 decimal places) representing 100% equity ownership of that specific living or working module.
  • Autonomous Yield & Leasing:
    • 100% Private Revenue Isolation: Revenue generated from leasing out an individual Cella flows directly to the co-owners of that specific DM-XXXX-C{N} token.
    • No Dilution: Cella rental proceeds are completely decoupled from the parent Domus and other sister Cellae in the building.
    • Operating Pool: Each Cella maintains its own distinct operatingBalance in JuvantiaRevenueDistributor for interior repairs, utilities, and furnishings.

3. Smart Contract Implementation

Hierarchical sub-assets are minted and tracked through the asset factory:

solidity
function createSubAsset(
    bytes32 parentAssetId,
    bytes32 assetId,
    string calldata name,
    string calldata symbol,
    address initialOwner
) external onlyOwner returns (address clone);
  • Parent Validation: The factory enforces that parentAssetId exists before permitting the creation of a sub-asset.
  • Bidirectional Indexing:
    • parentAsset[clone] references the parent Domus address.
    • getSubAssets(parent) lists all active Cella contracts registered under the Domus.
  • Exchange & Escrow: Cella APU shares trade freely on JuvantiaTradeHub under their unique symbol (e.g. DM-3553-C1), allowing fractional secondary trading without affecting parent Domus ownership.
