Liber V. On the Court
TITULUS I. AI Praetor
- Supreme Judge. Judicial power in Juvantia belongs to the autonomous artificial intelligence system — AI Praetor.
- Initiation of Proceedings. There is no automatic recording of violations. Any judicial case begins with the filing of a petition (Petitio).
- The initiator may be the Prosecutor's Office (Cohors Criminum), the Custodia (Custodia), or any citizen.
- The complainant is obliged to pay a fee and provide evidence (logs, video recordings, transaction data).
- Decision. The AI Praetor analyzes the submitted materials and renders a decision based on Lex Digitalis.
TITULUS II. Execution of Decisions
- Custodia Juvantiae. The enforcement arm of justice is the Custodia.
- Coercive Measures. The system does not have the technical capability to directly block robot control, but applies the following measures:
- Financial Deduction: Fines and debts are deducted automatically at the moment the citizen interacts with any certified smart contracts.
- Property Arrest: Imposition of a digital arrest on a Robulus or Domus. Arrested property is flagged in the registry, and operations with it are blocked.
- Forced Sale: In the event of failure to execute a court decision within the established term, arrested property is put up for auction. Proceeds go to settle the debt; the remainder is returned to the former owner. The new owner receives a clear property title.
TITULUS III. Appeal
- Review. The decision of the AI Praetor is final, except in cases where a technical error in the algorithm is identified or new, previously unavailable data is presented.
- Senate Council. In exceptional cases, the Senatus may initiate a review of the decision-making algorithm.
